Introduction
Replacing a damaged section of vinyl siding isn't difficult, but you'll need a special "zip" tool available from sellers of siding.

Vinyl siding requires little
maintenance, but can be damaged
if abused.

1. Remove damaged siding
Remove strip by inserting zip tool under lip above, pulling down, and sliding. Pull nails with a pry bar.

2. Fasten new strip
Fasten the new strip by nailing through the centers of the nail slots. Do not drive the nails tightly.

|
|
3. Relock new strip
Relock the new strip by pulling down and sliding the zip tool while pressing in on the bottom edge.
